About Broad Fen
Broad Fen is the quiet corner of our family farm at Dilham, 95 acres of woodland and fen meadow protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The three pods sit well apart from one another with no one else around, so all you hear is birdsong and the odd splash from the water.
Step straight from the bed to your own wood‑fired, chemical‑free hot tub and watch the light change over the meadow. Inside, each cabin is warm and properly equipped, with a full kitchen, an en‑suite shower and a king‑size bed made up with crisp bedding and towels. Light the fire pit, cook outside, and let the days slow right down.
Broad Fen is adults only and dog free, which keeps it peaceful for you and for the wildlife. Families and dogs are very welcome at our Tonnage Bridge pods on the canal.
Good to know
Yes. Broad Fen is for guests aged 18 and over, with no children or babies. If you are travelling as a family, our Tonnage Bridge pods and Canal Camping both welcome children.
No, Broad Fen is a dog-free retreat so the wildlife in the nature reserve is left in peace. Dogs are welcome at Tonnage Bridge (one dog per pod, £20 a stay) and at Canal Camping (£5 a stay).
All three pods share the same layout and the same high spec: a king-size bed, full kitchen, en-suite shower room and a private wood-fired hot tub. The difference is where each one sits. Damselfly is our sunny corner pod looking over the meadow, Dragonfly is the most private and wrapped in woodland, and Swallowtail has the widest view across the fen.
Yes. Every pod has its own wood-fired, chemical-free hot tub just outside the door. One bag of wood is included, with extra bags available for £6, and we offer fire-lighting tuition for £12 if you would like a hand.
Two nights. Midweek stays (Sunday to Thursday) are the quietest and usually the best value. A 50% deposit is taken when you book and the balance is due six weeks before you arrive. Full details are in our booking terms.

Yes. Canoes, kayaks and paddleboards are available to hire on the estate, launching from our private stretch of canal at Tonnage Bridge. Morning and afternoon sessions can be booked online.
